It means, specifically hit the audience that is your basic need. For this purpose, there should be a well-managed plan with the most effective target marketing strategies according to your product, service, budget and resources.

In target marketing, you will break the market into small segments. For example, you are selling cosmetics. You can break the products into small groups like skincare products, anti-aging products for women; this means a small group should deal with at least two small groups of consumers. Anti-aging products will target the female audience with a particular age group. In the same way, skincare products can also be used to target at least two age groups of female audiences. In this way, you will get more conversions for your particular products.

Target marketing strategies:

As you know in target marketing we divide the audience into small groups of segments. So, the strategies of target marketing basically revolve around grouping or segmentation. There are three main strategies that are mostly used by marketing specialists.

Ø Physiological segments

Ø Behavioral segments

These three segments are most common to target the audience that is potentially converted to the buyers. Now, the question is how do these strategies work? There is some information that may help you in designing your target marketing plan.

Geographical Segment:

In geographical segments, you will break the audience according to a particular location, region, city, or area. The selection of location depends upon your product. It is also most important to select the right location or area to target the audience for your products, services, or ideas. It will help you in getting more reach and sales especially if your product is highly consumed in that area.

Physiological Segment:

In target marketing strategies you can divide the target audience into physiological segments as well. You can break it into males and females or in different age groups. For this purpose, you have to decide about the gender and age group that consumes more a particular type of product.  For example, you are selling coats and blazers then for fancy men blazers you will target the male audience with a 15 to 40 age group. For a formal men blazer, you may select a male audience within 25-55 maybe. Anyway, it was an example only, you can select according to your requirements. In this way, you will get more sales.

Behavioral Segment:

In this strategy of target marketing, you may select the audience according to the behavior of people. Especially, when you are going to promote some special or specific type of products such as medicines. For example, anti-depressed medicine can be consumed by people with more stress and depression.

In short, Target marketing strategies bring more revenue and greater outputs. But you need a proper market search and a well-versed plan in hand before going to develop a strategy.
